Four Abilities of a SOA Registry

Date Published:
01 JUL 2004
About the White Paper:
A service-oriented architecture (SOA) is the design blueprint for seamless connectivity between business processes and IT infrastructure, enabling innovation and improving productivity. SOA provides the most efficient, standard way to dynamically interoperate with any customer, supplier, product or employee. SOA makes integration intrinsic. In a SOA, Web services become business services with the ability to perform a particular function or access data dynamically. For this to be achievable an effective SOA requires a registry for enterprise-wide insight, control and economic leverage of all the organization's business assets that, increasingly over time, will be realized and used by customers, suppliers, products, and employees as dynamic business services.
