About Enterprise middleware for SOA
Middleware is a general term for any programming that serves to mediate between two separate programs. A common use for middleware is to allow programs and applications written for access to a particular database to access other databases. CORBA is one of the earliest known examples of middleware. Today, messaging middleware programs provide messaging services so that different applications can communicate are more popular.
