Editor's Summary: The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) today published Web Services Policy (WS-Policy) 1.5 as a recommendation, the status at which the proposed standard is considered mature enough for implementation. W3C has commitments to implement WS-Policy 1.5 in service-oriented architecture (SOA) products from BEA Systems Inc., IBM, Microsoft, Oracle Corp., Software AG, and Sun Microsystems, Inc., a spokesperson for the standards body said.
