Web services firewall available for ISA Server 2004

Web services security vendor Forum Systems Inc. of Sandy, Utah, announced today that its XWall Web services firewall is available for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 (ISA).

XWall secures Web services applications from attacks like XML viruses and denial-of-service attacks. It is an add-on to the ISA 2004 server providing firewall security for the application layer, as well as VPN and Web caching capabilities.

Forum said in a statement today that XWall's integration with ISA Server 2004 removes security anxieties over deploying Web services for small and medium businesses, as well as enterprises.

XWall filters XML, SOAP and Web services messages, securing inbound and outgoing XML messages and Web services. Administrators can also centrally manage WSDL documents, automate XML schema validation, simplify Web services registration with UDDI directories, enforce WS-I Basic Profile testing and create access controls for WSDL operations and SOAP messages.
