Samsung SDS, the IT services arm of South Korea's Samsung Group, has teamed up with two Web services software makers.

In the Asia-Pacific market, Samsung will distribute the Web services management and security products of Oakland Calif.-based AmberPoint Inc. as well as the Web Applications and Services Platform (WASP) software of Systinet Inc., Cambridge, Mass.

"We have identified Web services as key to our business strategy and have dedicated resources toward developing a Web services practice," Min Kyo Chung, a general manager for Samsung SDS' IT R&D Center in Seoul, South Korea.

Samsung SDS said that it is the fourth-largest systems integrator in the Asia-Pacific region.
