Confluent extends operations to Europe

Confluent Software Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., has begun offering its Web services management software in the European market.

As part of the move, the company has named Vincent Schoen as its European director. Before joining Confluent, Schoen served as partner manager for Intershop AG, a German software vendor, where he was responsible for sales and partner relations. He has also overseen sales and partner relations in Europe and the Middle East for BEA Systems Inc.
