Redline Networks Inc., Campbell, Calif., and DataPower Technology Inc., Cambridge, Mass., said on Thursday that they will jointly offer their software products as a single solution for data center Web services.

The companies said the partnership will allow enterprise applications to be Web-enabled by converting them to HTTP (Hyper Text Transport Protocol) and the products will make use of XML for Web service and application integration architectures.

The combined Redline-DataPower solution will target data center and external XML Web services environments. The two companies said they recently completed interoperability tests between their product lines.
