Sarvega Inc., Burr Ridge, Ill., has made the second edition of its XSLT benchmark study publicly available. The study focuses on the performance of XSLT processors.
XSL Transformations (XSLT) is a standard for describing how to change the structure of an XML document.
Sunil Gaitonde, Sarvega's co-founder and chief technology officer, said that although the number of XSLT processors has remained largely unchanged over the past year, the performance of some processors has increased significantly and others have changed minimally.
He said the new benchmark tests were important because of a significant increase in the deployment of XML-based applications such as Web services in the past year.
Results of the benchmark study are available on Sarvega's Web site.
