Collaxa Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., has joined the Enterprise Application Integration Industry Consortium, a trade group that promotes integration technologies.

Collaxa's flagship product, BPEL Server, is an infrastructure for modeling, connecting, deploying and managing business processes based on the Business Process Execution Language. BPEL is a standard for orchestrating discrete services into business processes.

"By joining the EAI Industry Consortium, we will gather experience from the business process management world to accelerate adoption of BPM through industry standards such as BPEL, Web services and J2EE," said Doron Sherman, Collaxa's chief technology officer.
