Information communications technology giant British Telecommunications Plc has selected AmberPoint Inc. of Oakland, Calif., for its Web services management and monitoring tools.

BT Global Services, BT's business services and solutions division, will integrate AmberPoint into its Web services offering to deliver enterprise-class management capabilities to its customers. In September of 2002, BT introduced its business-class environment, a value-added network for the delivery and management of Web services-based solutions. In addition to offering this software to its customers, BT's license with AmberPoint covers its own internal usage.
