Cape Clear Software and NEON Systems Inc. announced last week a partnership aimed at enterprise customers wishing to integrate mainframe applications with data using Web services and service-oriented architectures.
The two vendors announced integration between Cape Clear's Cape Clear 5 enterprise service bus and NEON's Shadow z/Services product. The agreement would enable integration of mainframe applications that could then be shared as services.
Cape Clear 5 is an ESB that helps integrate legacy applications and data, and build and deliver new services, while Shadow z/Services creates Web services from CICS, IMS and Advantage CA-IDMS applications. Released last week, it features single-step configuration and microflow orchestration capabilities.
