Business integration software vendor Tibco Software Inc. announced its new business process management road map this week, as well as the completion of its acquisition of Staffware, which has been renamed the Tibco BPM Group.
The road map enables enterprises to integrate legacy systems and exchange data in real time, as well as manage enterprise business processes across IT boundaries.
Featured will be Tibco's new standalone BPM called Tibco Staffware Process Suite, which delivers enterprise wide BPM, including the ability to develop service-oriented applications. Tibco Staffware Process Suite will interoperate with Tibco's integration platform available in the fourth quarter.
The suite features enhanced .NET support, additional database and systems management integration, a new Linux version.
Also part of the BPM road map are new Tibco BusinessWorks capabilities for integration-driven projects, including a BusinessWorks Manual Activities plug-in that supports exception processing and application-specific integration processes and support for real-time contextual forms and business interfaces.
BPM reduces error rates and manual steps in business processes, and ensures processes comply with internal policy and regulation.
