WRQ Inc. today announced the availability WRQ Verastream legacy interface for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004. Developers can now access Verastream's legacy components from a Microsoft environment.
Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 launched today at its Silicon Valley Speaker Series in Mountain View, Calif.
WRQ takes a service-oriented approach to legacy integration and customers using the BizTalk interface would be able to readily create reusable services. Verastream provides BizTalk users with a non-invasive, bi-directional, real-time connection to host systems like IBM OS 390, AS/400, HP e3000, VT, OpenVMS and others. It eliminates host programming and allows BizTalk Server developers to encapsulate and reuse legacy application functionality within the BizTalk Orchestration environment.
BizTalk Server 2004 provides business-process orchestration, single sign-on capability, human-based workflow and Web services support. Developers can use the software to connect people with information and processes.
Meanwhile, the Verastream interface has completed the requirements for the BizTalk Server 2004 Certification Program. The program certifies the software has passed a review of its architecture and compliance with core programming paradigms for enterprise-scale computing.
