Collaboration secures SOA development

Staff reports

Blue Titan Software, Inc. and DataPower Technology, Inc. announced the development of new software targeting enterprises building service-oriented architectures.

The solution secures and controls service-based applications that scales to an enterprise-class SOA.

It combines Blue Titan Network Director with the hardware-based DataPower XS40 XML Security Gateway. This union enables enterprises to join Web services projects without interfering with development.

The two companies also announced that this summer they will integrated Blue Titan Network Director and DataPower XS40's Web services-based management interfaces and by the end of the year will offer a fully integrated appliance.

"The partnership between Blue Titan and DataPower makes it easier for companies to roll out the required control and security infrastructure needed to realize an SOA," said Tom Rhinelander, analyst with New Rowley Group in a statement. "And importantly, the partners allow companies to invest in and implement solutions incrementally and according to business -- not vendor or IT -- needs."
