Tool injects WS management into app design phase

Actional Corp., Mountain View, Calif., has released a plug-in for BEA System's WebLogic platform that is designed to let developers build Web services management capabilities into the design phase of the application development process.

Actional Controls for BEA WebLogic Workshop also flags potential problems during the architecture and design phase; identifies whether systems are meeting performance and service level agreements, and enforces rules and policy among applications in the network, according to Actional.
