WebMethods offers royalty-free Glue licenses

WebMethods said that it is now offering a royalty-free original equipment manufacturer (OEM) license for its recently acquired Glue technology for Web services.

license for its recently acquired Glue technology.

The licenses are available to independent software vendors (ISVs), OEMs and device manufacturers to embed Glue into their own solutions. Glue is a lightweight server for creating and deploying distributed applications with Web services.

WebMethods, which acquired Glue through its recent deal for The Mind Electric, said that the technology can turn any Java object into a Web service with a single line of code. Glue supports several industry standards, including, SOAP 1.1 and 1.2, WSDL 1.1, UDDI v2 server, SOAP attachments, DIME, WS-Routing, WS-Security, WS-Signatures and WS-Encryption.
