Solstice Software Inc., Claymont, Del., has released a suite of application-integration testing tools, including tests for integration through Web services.
The company, which changed its name from Class IQ to Solstice in March, said its Integra Enterprise 4.0 testing platform will help organizations solve integration problems by giving them visibility and control of the messaging backbone of mainframe integration, Web services and other integration projects.
"Integra Enterprise provides visibility into an integration project's logic and messaging backbone, where the bulk of work takes place," said Lori Gipp, vice president of marketing at Solstice.
Solstice said the testing suite uses a protocol library it has built over seven years to support the testing of applications. Integra Enterprise also includes a simulation facility to let integration teams simulate unavailable systems.
The suite consists of four main components: Automate, the messaging testing "workbench," which includes a record-and-reply capability; Simulate; Validate, and the Protocol Library. Integra Enterprise also features a "flex adaptor" that supports multiple protocols -- Internet, vendor or proprietary -- on a scalable basis, the company said.
