Iron Speed Inc., Mountain View, Calif., today launched an updated version of its application generator software that the company said can now create localized Web-based applications.

Iron Speed said version 1.5 of its Designer product can, in a few hours, generate up to 80% of .NET Web applications in a three-tier architecture. Once generated, applications can be modified and regenerated, as well as extended to include custom business logic and internationalization features, the company said.

New features of Iron Speed Design include improved wizards, page layout customization features and online instructional videos linked from throughout the product. Eight new coding examples illustrate code extensions for platforms such as Windows and Crystal Decisions.
