Lumigent Technologies Inc., Acton, Mass., today released new software designed to help companies address IT compliance, security, audit and privacy requirements by providing information about how data assets are being used.
Entegra 2.0 creates audit trails and reports to satisfy security and privacy regulations and operational requirements in health care, finance, biotechnology and other industries, according to Lumigent. Among the laws covered with the software are Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EUDPA and the USA Patriot Act.
Lumigent said Entegra 2.0 uses non-trigger audit agents to collect and consolidate data access activity information from multiple servers. And it said storage of this information in a single, common repository enables easier management and provides an audit trail to meet mandates for data access accountability. A console for the software lets users target servers for audits, including the ability to specify the types of database activities to be tracked.
