New Sanctum tool tests for XML, SOAP vulnerabilities

Sanctum Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., has released a security testing tool that it said scans attack variants to test both new and existing infrastructures, including emerging Web services technologies containing XML and SOAP vulnerabilities.

Sanctum said its AppScan 4.0 QA Edition offers integration with any quality-assurance testing environment and allows results to be output to all standard defect-tracking and analysis systems. The software also complies with the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) outlined by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and supports software QA and quality-management standards, Sanctum said.
