GigaSpaces Technologies Ltd., New York City, has released the newest version of its GigaSpaces platform, which it calls the first commercial implementation of Sun Microsystems' JavaSpaces technology.
GigaSpaces Platform 3.0 is a software infrastructure for developing real-time, clustered and collaborative distributed applications. GigaSpaces said its platform behaves as a distributed shared memory, facilitating customer's applications and services to communicate, share and exchange information in real time, via the space by using JavaSpaces API write, read, notify and take functions.
