IBM announces expansion of mashup portfolio

IBM has announced the latest version of IBM Mashup Center and is now offering a new service, IBM Cognos 8 Mashup Service. In addition, IBM is announcing a set of new clients that are using IBM Mashup technology to change their organizations.

The latest version of IBM Mashup Center will include integration with RESTful services, the ability to filter malicious content and stop the use of un=trusted widgets to prevent information stealing, compliance with Section 208 of the US Federal Government's e-Government Policy, ability to create collections of mashup pages without requiring IT support and a new browser-based tool which lets people create simple widgets directly from their mashup. IBM Cognos 8 Mashup Service allows clients to combine information from IBM Cognos reports and access it in a web interface. IBM Mashup Center is available as of November, 2009 and IBM Cognos 8 Mashup Service is expected to be released this December.
