Cape Clear updates its ESB with BPEL support

Staff report

Cape Clear Software announced the release of Cape Clear 6, its latest enterprise service bus integration platform. Cape Clear 6 includes full support for the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL4WS) 1.1 standard, and includes new support for WS-ReliableMessaging, enabling guaranteed messaging over the Internet.

The integration platform is built on XML and Web services standards, helping companies integrate legacy applications and data, as well as create and manage business processes.

New features include an Eclipse-based GUI for creating BPEL-based processes, a native BPEL 1.1 runtime engine, a graphical environment for monitoring business flows, support for the WS-ReliableMessaging specification and extended database integration.

The ESB bundle includes Cape Clear Studio, a development tool; Cape Clear Data Interchange, a graphical environment for the integration of XML documents; Cape Clear Server; Cape Clear Manager, a Web-based service-management console; and Cape Clear Orchestrator, a suite of tools for the creation, deployment and management of business processes.

Cape Clear 6 will be available in January 2005 on IBM AIX, Linux, Microsoft Windows 2000/XP, and Sun Solaris.
