Digital Evolution announces support for Netegrity

Web services security and management vendor Digital Evolution Inc. of Santa Monica, Calif., announced that its Service Manager program no supports identity and access management products, including Netegrity.

which was built specifically for use with Web services. Version 6.0 supports the recently ratified WS-Security 1.0 specification , three different security tokens: Username/Password digest, X.509 certificates and SAML tokens. It also supports WS-Security Encryption to encrypt and decrypt tokens and message elements. It can also protect Web services hosted on IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic platforms.

Digital Evolution Service Manager, meanwhile adds identity management to its array of capabilities for use in service-oriented architecture.

In conjunction with Netegrity, Service Manager enables enterprises to provision access controls and performance levels of Web services according to the user and application calling them.
