Web services security vendor Forum Systems Inc. of Sandy, Utah today announced an integration deal with Web services management vendor Amber Point Inc.

How big a barrier is security to Web services adoption?

AmberPoint and Systinet recently bundled fundamental SOA building blocks 

AmberPoint agents now integrate with Forum's XML security products, sending security information to AmberPoint's management products including Service Level Manager, Exception Manager and Management Foundation.

The two companies also announced that communications provider Motorola is a customer.

Forum's products sit on a network and intercept and filter XML messages against established security policies before it is passed on. Forum's new AmberPoint Module sends logging and tracking information to an AmberPoint management console where administrators can take action in a service-oriented architecture infrastructure.

Forum sells three primary products, its flagship XWall XML firewall, Sentry, a security infrastructure, and Presidio, a content exchange platform. Forum's products are available in appliances, PCI cards and software for Windows, Linux and Java.

AmberPoint's products include AmberPoint Express, a management products for testing in development environments, AmberPoint Management Foundation, a monitoring and alerting system, Service Level Manager, which measures Web services against contract objectives, and Exception Manager, which monitors business activities for operational errors.
