StrikeIron Inc. of Durham, N.C., announced this week the latest Web service available through its StrikeIron Web Services Business Network (WSBizNet), a Do Not Call premium Web service.
Do Not Call is available on a pay-per-use subscription and can be integrated into Web sites, enterprise portals, CRM applications, call center applications and other real-time apps. Enterprises can use the Web service to ensure compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call list regulations.
Violations can result in fines of up to $11,000 per call, said StrikeIron CEO Richard Holcomb in a statement.
The service's interface checks telephone numbers against several federal, state and Direct Marketing Association databases. It will also maintain a company's internal Do Not Call list. The confirmation data references these databases and is delivered live via an XML-based Web service directly into any application, platform, product or Web site, StrikeIron said.
StrikeIron offers more than 800 Web services through its network, including tax data systems sales and use tax rates, mobile SMS messaging and address verification.
