Ignore standards for Web services security

Enterprises should rely on proprietary solutions to secure their Web services until 2006, even if those solutions aren't compliant with industry standards, according to Gartner. The analyst firm said even the most promising security standard, WS-Security, isn't ready to handle complex Web services transactions.
