Ben Watson, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Adobe LiveCycle Designer , Adobe Systems, Inc.
Ben Watson is primarily focused on the development and delivery of technical content and programs for enterprise developers building Intelligent Documents and interactive forms with Adobe technology. He is also Group Manager for the team that is building out the Adobe Intelligent Document Platform enterprise developer relations program. Adobe's Intelligent Document Platform provides powerful new opportunities for Java and XML developers seeking to automate document services inside the enterprise.
Prior to joining Adobe, Watson was with Microsoft where he served as a senior product manager for Web services and the .NET strategy. More recently he lead the MSDN marketing organization in Canada through significant growth both as an organization and ultimately to attain and maintain Microsoft's position as the dominant tools vendor with extensive community programs. He also served as a product manager for Microsoft's .NET Services, including Passport and the bCentral suite of online tools for small businesses. During his time with Microsoft he was very active in the Web services standards movement and worked with WS-I, Oasis and W3C organization members to further integration of standards into enterprise applications and published several articles and papers on this subject.
An early adopter of Aldus and Adobe technologies, his background in print technology and publishing culminated in serving as CTO for Key Media, where he drove content management and technology development for WeddingBells magazine, Fashion Magazine, and the international Where Magazine properties.
His background in technology includes a wide variety of engagements in web development, technology marketing and software application development for clients ranging from large multinationals such as Bell Canada and Nortel, General Motors, Ralston Purina and as well as Sprint and several international clients which have led to postings with technology leaders in South America, Russia, China and across the United States and Canada. |
