QUESTION POSED ON: 01 March 2004
Why do we get "http:405 Resource not allowed" while using a J2EE server to run a servlet? I had an HTML form created and on submission it was required to call "http://localhost:8000/contextform/aliasform" but gave the above error is there any problem with the above link provided to call this servlet class called "oldcalledform.java"?

Make sure you configure your servlet in the web.xml file for your Web application. Also make sure you handle both the doPost and doGet methods, even if you just route one call through the other.
