Mobile devices tend to lose and regain network coverage. 3rd generation bearers
are supposed to provide better speed, but network coverage gaps still remains an issue. User experience is greatly improved by devising mobile applications that allow the user to continue working with the mobile application even when disconnected from the network. The development of such applications is greatly simplified using message-oriented-middleware (MOM) on mobile devices. MOM guarantees that transactions issues by the user are delivered to a server, in spite of sporadic network disconnects (store-and-forward).
