I refer to the query on displaying XML in IE dated 27th January. I have had the same problem. I copied the XML code in the query and IE displayed the text with tags and all. I am using IE 6.0.2501. As with your first correspondent, I am trying to 'DIY'.

IE 6 certainly should have the necessary msxml machinery to handle XML. One possibility is that the server may be serving up the XML with an incorrect text mime type thus causing the browser to treat it as plain text.
