Do I need to learn any new programming languages to work with SOA? Or are standard programming languages sufficient?

SOA provides the plumbing necessary to deploy enterprise applications built using a service-oriented model. Neither an SOA implementation nor enterprise applications built on SOA require a particular programming language.
Developing service-oriented enterprise applications is more of following certain proven patterns than it is programming language syntax. Due to its enterprise nature, developing SOA applications one would need to use programming languages that provide the ability to deliver the enterprise functionality.
One way to think of it is to see the different Web services implementations. These have been written in many different programming languages, yet each provide similar services-oriented infrastructure to deploy Web services. Web services themselves are implemented in different languages.
