cPanel is a Unix-based control panel that automates and simplifies website hosting.

CPanel simplifies many common website administration tasks including database, website file and email account management with an intuitive point-and-click interface. Users can also view website stats and manage their DNS through the cPanel. All components of the cPanel can be accessed through a standard Web browser.

The WebHost Manager version for root administrators and resellers permits configuration of DNS and FTP, services, deployment packages, branding, and security settings to easily support thousands of customer accounts. The cPanel itself functions as a dedicated or virtual private server on CentOS, Red Hat Linux or CloudLinux. It offers application and email based support for Apache, MySQL, and SMTP. Auto-installers and other software packages may be bundled with the cPanel or made available at an additional fee.
