I have a phone spec sheet with the above two items listed as special features. Please can you explain the 'sync ML' of no.1? Please also expand on what 'M-Services compliant' means?

Sync ML is an industry standard for mobile data synchronization. Feature #1 allows you to synchronize the notebook and calendar located on the mobile device, with a backend server.

For that, you can use any SyncML compatible synchronization server. For more information on SyncML, visit www.syncml.org.

About M-Services, you will find an oveview on http://www.openwave.com/m-services/.
