What are the capabilities of Tandem middleware?

I would like to know the capabilities of tandem based middleware applications. Do they come under messaging middlewares? Can they be a potential EAI Tool?

As far as I know, Tandem middleware usually follows the request/response RPC model. Tandem middleware is generally not suggested for solving EAI problems. You might rather consider a JMS (Java Message Service) middleware, IBM MQSeries, NEON, etc.
