You will need to keep an eye on several emerging initiatives in the Web Services B2B space: Late last week, IBM and Microsoft published two Web services specifications--WS-Coordination and WS-Transactions--which will together are meant to establish a common business process framework for B2B interaction. You will also want to catch-up on the OASIS Committee Draft of the Business Transaction Protocol, BTP 1.0. There are several documents on their site www.oasis-open.org. These are the most recent attempts at standards for content exchange and transaction support.
