Which EAI tools are available in the market which are not traditional middleware-based solutions? Can I find a comparision somewhere?

There are basically 5 companies that sell EAI tools: Mercator, WebMethods, Tibco, Vitria and IBM. They are very different technologies, and the best place to find a description of their capabilities is to work with any number of the analyst organizations. However, I should caution you. You need to understand your requirements first, and then look at what's available. You'll find that while some tools are strong, they may not be the right tools for your domain. Keep that in mind.
