Getting an error while trying to install VB.NET. What can I do?

I am trying to install VB.NET and it gives me an error number 25003 in the update system and it does not want to continue. What can I do?

I know that in some instances the Windows installer throws that error number when attempting to delete a user account and access is denied. I doubt that is the case here, however. I would look at the following:

Have you uninstalled the Beta versions of .NET?
Are you installing on Win2K, XP, or NT 4.0 SP 4 or higher?
Are you a local administrator of the workstation?

Without further details of the error message, I am at a loss to help. This sounds like you may need to contact MS support.
