As with any new disruptive technology, there is a period of time where smaller innovative companies lead the way, followed by the gradual emergence of a dominant market-share leading company.

At this stage of the market, it is still very early to predict the winners and losers. Certainly, indications are that there is a growing requirement for a SOM solution in the marketplace. Today, this requirement is being met by specialist products from companies like WestGlobal, and looking to the next number of years, it is fair to say that the specialist companies will continue to be successful.
