Does BPEL4WS support recursive Web service composition?

Does BPEL4WS support recursive Web service composition?
The BPEL4WS specification provides a model for recursive composition of Web services through the use of WSDL to denote the public interface. Recursive composition of Web services is achieved by having BPEL orchestrate multiple Web services into a Web service, published by WSDL, which can subsequently be orchestrated into another BPEL process and so on. It's important to note that this model of recursive composition is external and not internal, i.e. done through the public interface rather than through the private implementation. For example, see the following BPEL tutorial: http://www.collaxa.com/developer.bpel101.html
