There must be a list of SOA services, so which are the main services that an enterprise has to define?

When one thinks of enterprise services the typical ones come to mind: authentication, authorization, transactions, etc. These services are required in all enterprise applications, independent of the methodologies used to build the application.

Enterprise applications also have many services specific to the enterprise domain. Many of these services can be developed and used across multiple applications. Other services may be singular in nature and only deployed as part of one application.

SOA architectures simplify the process of creating, deploying, and calling services, whether those services are horizontal (technical) or vertical (business domain specific).
